Coworking is Cool. Poor Internet is Drool – Internet at Newtons

Dear Coworking Community, 

I had BT Openreach on the phone within a few days for taking over the internet at Newtons in August 2017 transferring the numbers from Mr and Mrs Wild as they handed over the keys of their shop. When we took on the internet package, everything to do with the success of the coworking space, event space, offices, meeting rooms, coffee shop and gym(?) was in the air and it may never have happened, worked or continued past week one.

24 months later, several hardware upgrades to routers and access points, we are now out of contract with BT and ready to rock!

I am pleased to announce we are aiming for a much bigger line by the end of March 2020. The line coming into Newtons is capable of much higher download and upload speed which the space really needs at this stage – which really is a good sign, an empty coworking space would work just fine on dial up, but we are of course now welcoming around +50 people into the space every day. 

Therefore, lets hope the internet at Newtons can keep going strong in the growing space for the next few weeks whilst the transfer happens in the background. We will let you know when the switch has happened and will of course let you know if everything goes wrong and there is no internet.
