As remote work continues to rise in popularity, many fellow workers are pushing the boundaries of what defines a “workplace” here is coworking outside 2025. No longer confined to the traditional office or co-working space, a growing number of individuals are embracing a unique and adventurous approach: co-working from a tent. This concept is gaining traction among digital nomads, freelancers, and remote workers looking to combine productivity with the great outdoors. But is this the future of work in 2025, or just a passing trend?

The Appeal of Nature

Just imagine sat by a bubbling brook, brewing some coffee, working through an email list – BLISS!

The pandemic revolutionised the way we view workspaces, with many individuals swapping corporate office desks for kitchen tables or home offices. By 2025, the desire for a more flexible and inspiring work environment will lead even more remote workers to seek out nature. Co-working from a tent allows professionals to work in tranquil, natural surroundings—whether it’s by the beach, in a forest, or atop a hill—offering an escape from the monotony of indoor environments. At Newtons we are offering a wooden space, deep in Rossendale dell, next to Dearden Brook.

Spending time in nature can reduce stress, improve focus, and boost creativity. By taking work outdoors, workers can tap into these benefits, experiencing a refreshing change of scenery that traditional office environments simply can’t provide. The natural sounds, fresh air, and stunning views create an environment that fosters well-being while still allowing individuals to be productive.

Sustainable Workspaces

Our space would practice a Leave No Trace principles, ensuring that their workspace and living environment remain environmentally friendly. This eco-conscious approach is in line with broader sustainability trends, which are expected to play an even larger role in remote work practices by 2025.

A coworking space has, but outside.

While the idea of working from a tent may sound appealing, there’s a level of practicality that must be considered.

Setting up a functional, comfortable workspace in a tent requires careful planning and the right equipment.

  • Internet and Power: The most important element for co-working from a tent is a reliable internet connection and power. We are offering a wired internet connection and WIFI with mains power.
  • Comfortable Seating: Sitting on the ground isn’t ideal for long work hours, so that’s why we are offering a normal office swivel chair and a classic antique desk.
  • Good Lighting: Natural light is wonderful, but we still provide some lights should you need them.
  • Weatherproofing: Its probably going to rain, with this in mind you need to be prepped for walking outdoors. What we offer is large weather proof tent, with heating, ground on a nice dry wood deck, so you can cowork whatever the weather.

Challenges of Co-Working from a Tent

While the idea of working from a tent may sound idyllic, there are a few challenges that remote workers must consider.

For one, the weather can be unpredictable, and working outdoors may not be feasible in extreme conditions. Rain, high winds, or cold temperatures could easily disrupt a workday, we may have to thing about hosting if the weather gets bad.

Additionally, finding reliable Wi-Fi in remote locations can be difficult but not for us, because we are wiring the tent in to the world wide web.

Lastly, safety is another consideration. – coworking outside will be different to coworking in an office and you need to be prepared for that. Weather can change, the ground is uneven and you may get spooked by nature, so be prepared (Scouts motto
