Newtons COVID-19 statement

We are dedicated to protecting our community at Newtons of Bury. Therefore we are taking action to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) throughout our business. All immediate updates will be published on our social media channels.

Our Customers

Our space is remaining open and will only close fully or partly on the guidance from the Government. We are monitoring the situation closely using Public Health England, WHO and Government website for up to date information on COVID-19.

We ask that all community practice good hand washing techniques and good judgement if they are feeling unwell in the coming weeks. We have allocated more resources to our wonderful Diana who keeps the space clean and tidy early in the morning so the space will be immaculate and safe for everyone. 

Small Businesses

As you are aware Newtons is built on a community of mirco and small businesses which during the next few weeks may come under increasing pressure. We can still support businesses and our local communities by making informed decisions on the situation and avoiding fake news which can be as dangerous as the virus itself! 

Local Community

Recent guidance has suggested self-isolation for those over 70 may be an option in the next few weeks. For those at low risk of the effects of COVID-19 we need to look outwards and look after those most vulnerable in our society. Whilst self-isolation may happen in the future we need to think about those that need our help most and how we can help them. 

Using Newton

Please conitue to use Newtons and other local businesses as normal and make decisions based on your own personal circumstances and informed information. 

We are currently not planning on making any changes to Newtons or cancelling any events, gathering or meetings we host at Newtons and will monitor the changing situation in the coming weeks. However, events organised by other organisations that are hosted at Newtons may decide to temporarily postpone their events, gatherings or meetings so we would advise contacting them directly.

We are happy to answer any specific questions you may have and will continue to monitor the situation closely. All updates will be posted on our social media channels.
