Newtons Coffee Co – 2025

Do you remember the old furniture shop, Newtons of Bury? Big gold chair outside the shop for many years? Well Newtons gets its name from this shop. We converted the shop in to a offices and a coworking space in 2018. Part of this was a great coffee shop at the front of the building where you would find people working and enjoying our fantastic Crosby Coffee whilst catching up. After COVID we couldn’t bring the coffee shop back and needed to put all our energy in to bringing everything back to life! Now in 2025 we have the opportunity again to dust of the cups, dig out the menus and restart!

We found that sometimes the best thing for a day of work is to get out and get some fresh air when having a break, lap round The Rock perhaps? But we have also found sometimes we are focused on our work and what to get things done, that’s why Newtons Coffee Co provide some great provisions so you don’t even need to leave the building for lunch! We teamed up with a local business, Ground Up to bring their amazing toasties to Newtons Coffee Co. 

Newtons Coffee Co is part of a bigger family, but we do know coffee! We teamed up with Crosby Coffee to get fantastic beans, their helping hand and top notch training; whilst getting supplied by Brades Farm for their delicious, creamy Barista milk! So the cup of coffee you get will be one of the best independent coffees you can get.

Project is currently pending, sometime we hope in 2025.

Brades Farm declare their barista milk “a barista’s best kept secret” and we completely agree! Coffee is great and if you are having milk with that, it is as important as the coffee! That is why we sought out some of the best Barista milk we could get our hands on. So not just any old milk in your cup, its single sourced, free range and family milk!

In 2018, when we started Newtons, we started Bury Bee Co. Our apairy, although small at the moment, is growing as we learn more and more. We host 3 hives at The Dell, Edenfield, 1 with CIVIC Pride Rossendale and 1 at Holme Manor Care Home. We always try to introduce an apairy at the properties managed by Newtons. One of the benefits of all this, apart from supporting our pollinators, is the honey! We harvest every September from our hives, ask our Barista for more info. 

We all need a treat sometimes, so when we thought treats, cake and goodies we went straight to the world famous Bury market to find the local bakers we imagined. Enrill’s Bakery supply three big outlets on Bury market, their local to Bury and they do a really, really good job at what they do. Enrill’s supply us with all the goodies we sell.
