Run Newtons run! Bury 10k on the horizon
If you’re looking for a fun and rewarding way to get your steps in, the Bury 10K is calling your name! Happening on Sunday, September 15th, 2024, this popular event isn’t just for seasoned runners; it’s a celebration for the whole community.
Starting and finishing right in the heart of Bury, this 10K route takes you through some of the town’s most iconic spots, including the historic market area. With crowds of supporters cheering you on, it’s not just a race but a festival of fitness and fun.
Whether you’re sprinting for a personal best or just enjoying a leisurely jog, the Bury 10K is all about participation. There’s also a Mini and Junior Run, making it a family-friendly event where kids can join in the action too. Plus, for those competitive spirits, there’s the Corporate Challenge—perfect for local businesses to show off their team’s speed and spirit.
Matthew has taken part in the Bury 10k throughout the years alongside some of the members of our community at Newtons! On September 25th its once again time to RUN NEWTONS RUN!

Road closures will be in effect on race day, so it’s best to plan your travel in advance. And if you’re not running, there are plenty of ways to get involved—volunteering is a great way to soak up the atmosphere and support the runners.
